The Evanston Fire Department responded to a fire in an apartment building downtown yesterday evening after something was burnt in an oven, according to Fire Division Chief Dwight Hohl.
Hohl said an alarm went off in a high-rise building, and once firefighters arrived, they discovered it was not a very serious fire.
The incident happened at 807 Church St.
