Armed Robbery Attempt Reported On Custer

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Armed Robbery Attempt Reported On Custer
A man displayed a handgun and demanded his victim's property in an alley in the 200 block of Custer Avenue at 10:12 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, according to police.

Three Burglaries Reported on Hinman
Someone used a tool to break into an apartment in the 700 block of Hinman Avenue between 12 and 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, according to police. The burglar stole a 13-inch Apple laptop computer.

Someone also used a tool to break into a different apartment in the 700 block of Hinman Avenue between 12 and 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, police reported. The burglar stole a 13-inch Apple laptop computer in a pink case and a gold band with a ruby and diamonds, according to police. 

Finally, someone used a tool to break into a third apartment in the 700 block of Hinman Avenue during the same time frame. He or she took two $10 rolls of quarters, cash and a military style watch, police said. 

Pontiac Parts Stolen On Ashland
Someone stole parts from a 2002 Pontiac parked in the 100 block of Ashland Avenue at 6:40 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, police reported. 

Graffiti Appears on Dodge, Darrow, Greenleaf
Police found graffiti on two garages in the 1000 block of Dodge Avenue, two garages in the 1000 block of Darrow Avenue and two garages in the 1800 block of Greenleaf Street, according to police.
