Armed Robbery over iPhone, Sugar in a Gas Tank

The following incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Armed Robbery

At gun point, three masked offenders took a victim’s Apple White iPhone, black case and money on the street, near the intersection of Lyons and Darrow Avenues, at 2:40 a.m., Sept. 25.

Auto Theft

A 1999 red Acura Integra was stolen from the 800 block of Monroe St. between 5 p.m., Sept. 23, and 7:30 a.m., Sept. 24, by an unknown assailant.

Vehicle Tampering

An unknown offender poured sugar into the gas tank and keyed the trunk of a 2011 Hyundai in a garage in the 400 block of Howard St., between 2:30 p.m., Sept. 23, and 7 a.m., Sept. 24.

Theft Over $500

An Apple iPhone 4 and money were taken from a locker at an athletic club in the 1600 block of Sherman Ave., between 7:15 and 8 p.m., Sept. 24.

Burglary

A Raleigh red men’s bike with thin racing tires was taken from an unlocked garage in the 1100 block of Dewey Ave., between 3 and 3:30 p.m., on Sept. 22.

Burglary From Motor Vehicle

Monday was taken from an unlocked 2007 Toyota in the 600 block of Forest Ave. at 12:32 p.m. Sept. 23.

An Apple 2nd generation, money, and a wallet and its contents were taken from an unlocked 2011 Jeep in the 1000 block of Sherman Ave., between 6:30 p.m., Sept. 21, and 1 p.m., Sept. 22.

A Garmin black and silver GPS were taken through the open window of 2001 Lexus in the 500 block of Hinman Ave., between 3 p.m. Sept. 23 and 8:15 a.m., Sept. 24.

 

 

 

Criminal Damange

An unknown offender keyed the side of a 2008 Audi in the 2700 block of Bennett between 1 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., Sept. 23.

Criminal Damage to State Support Property

 

Police noticed graffiti at a park in the 2400 block of Central Avenue between 5:37 and 6:16 p.m., Sept. 24.

Police noticed graffiti on the street in the 2500 block of Bennett Avenue between 5:37 and 5:53 p.m., Sept. 24.

Arrests

Darryl Harry, 43, 1815 Church, Brooklyn, was charged Sept. 20 with domestic battery.

Floricel Gonzalez, 38, 9457 Sumac, Des Plaines was charged Sept. 24 with a traffic violation at 939 Chicago Ave.

Enis Husanovic, 29, 829 Case, Evanston, was charged Sept. 24 with a traffic violation at 1117 Howard St.
