Arsonist Sets Car on Fire On Case

Police found a 2003 Ford on fire with a gas can next to it in the 800 block of Case Avenue at 2:10 a.m. Wednesday, May 8.

Police investigated a report that someone fired a gun in the 2100 block of Darrow Avenue at 12:19 a.m. Friday, May 10. Nothing was found in the area.

Sean M. Freund, 46, of the 3100 block of Central Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 9:55 p.m. Thursday, May 9, according to police. 

Seth Gillman, 44, of the 3300 block of Northshore in Lincolnwood, was arrested on an outstanding warrant at 3:33 p.m. Monday, May 6, in the 1400 block of Pitner Street, according to police.

A 24-year-old Chicago man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, according to police.

Michael Tate, 36, of the 7100 block of South Damen in Chicago, was arrested and charged with theft after he allegedly stole money from a CTA bus while working as an employee between April 25 and May 5, according to police. 

Pickpockets Steal Wallets at Grocery Store, CTA Station

Someone stole a black wallet and its contents fat a grocery store in the 2200 block of Oakton Street between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, according to police. 

Someone stole a leather wallet with its contents from a bag at the CTA train station in the 1600 block of Benson Avenue, according to police. 

Thief Steals Tires On Judson

Someone stole a set of Michelin tires and wheels from a 1999 Acura parked in the 800 block of Judson Avenue between 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, and 5:51 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, according to police.

Car Burglary On Simpson

Someone entered a 2005 Honda that was left unlocked in the 2700 block of Simpson Street between 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, and 7 am. Thursday, May 9, according to police. Nothing was reported missing. 

Man Steals Snack From Convenience Store

A man stole snack food from a convenience store in the 800 block of Dodge Avenue at 11:20 p.m. Thursday, May 9, police reported. 

Graffiti Found On Howard Street

Graffiti appeared in the 600 block of Howard Street at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 9, according to police.
