Auto Thief Steals Yellow GMC Truck

Woman Punched Victim on Lyons

A known offender punched someone at Lyons Street and Lemar Avenue between 12:50 and 1:05 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, according to police.

Yellow GMC Truck Stolen On Oakton

A woman stole a 16-foot yellow 2011 GMC truck with the license plate 2020870 that was parked at hardware store in the 2300 block of Oakton Street at 8:06 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, police reported.

Residential Burglary on Seward

A man entered a home in the 1600 block of Seward Street through an unlocked window at 11:13 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, police reported. It is unknown what, if anything, was stolen. 

Two Arrested For Retail Theft

Kimberly Shunta Jackson, 44, of the 1800 block of Wesley Avenue in Evanston, Algienon Sutherland, 52, of the 700 block of Dobson Avenue, were both arrested and charged with retail theft in the 2200 block of Oakton Avenue at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, according to police. 

Bike Stolen On Howard

Someone stole a pink 26-inch women’s Schwinn bicycle that was locked up in the 2000 block of Howard Street between 3 and 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, according to police.

Car Burglaries on Washington, Grey

Someone used a tool to break into a 1996 Toyota and steal a pair of blue and white Jordan shoes at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, in the 1600 block of Washington Street, according to police. 

Someone entered a 1995 Range Rover via an unlocked door and stole a Sony stereo with a video between 10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, and 8:40 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, in the 900 block of Grey Avenue, police reported.
