Mercedes-Benz Stolen, Shots Fired at Vehicle On Fowler

Police observed gang graffiti in the 300 block of Dodge Avenue on Feb. 24.

A 2013 Mercedes-Benz parked in the 600 block of Hinman Avenue was reported stolen on Feb. 25.
Vehicle vandalism

A vehicle owner reported that an unknown person(s) kicked the side mirror of his car parked in the 1800 block of Sherman Avenue on Feb. 26.
Burglary
Police responded to a burglary in the 1900 block of Emerson Street on Feb. 25. According to the report, the offender(s) gained entry by breaking through a side door. Once inside, the person(s) removed several fedders and an air conditioning unit, the report stated. No arrests were made.
Shots fired at vehicle
A resident reported finding several bullet holes in their vehicle in the 1300 block of Fowler Avenue on Feb. 25. The report did not indicate if the person was inside his or her vehicle during the shooting.
Shots fired
Police responded to a shots fired complaint in the 1900 block of Dodge Avenue on Feb. 26 around 3 a.m. Officers checked the area but did not find any suspects, the report stated.
Aggravated battery
Alexander R. Cruz, 27, of Chicago, was charged with aggravated battery on Feb. 23 around 10:13 p.m. Cruz was arrested in the 1700 block of Maple Avenue.
