Battery Against Police Officer

Jawonne T. Worth, 19, of the 1800 block of Brummel Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery against a police officer after an incident that occurred in a park at Hamilton Street and Lake Shore Boulevard between 5:40 and 6:19 a.m. Saturday, July 21, police reported. 

Battery at the Hospital

A woman kicked her victim in the hip between 10:20 and 11:20 p.m. Monday, July 23, at a hospital in the 2600 block of Ridge Avenue, police reported. 

Assault

A man approached someone in a threatening manner around 5:10 p.m. Monday, July 23, in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue, according to police. 

Driving Under the Influence

Paiva Ruth Philtese Brown, 24, of the 2000 block of Darrow in Evanston, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 11:48 p.m. Monday, July 23, at the intersection of Davis Street and Chicago Avenue, police reported.

Brandon Curtis Floyd, 32, of the 1100 block of Pitner in Evanston, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at Hartrey Avenue and Greenwood Street at 11:06 p.m. Sunday, July 22, according to police.

Shots Fired/Man With a Gun

Police investigated a report that someone had fired a gun in the 1900 block of Grey Avenue at 10:47 p.m. Monday, July 23. Nothing was found in the area.

Blu-Ray DVDs, Alcohol Stolen in Retail Thefts

A man stole a Visions of Britain blu-ray DVD set, Criterion Collection blu-ray DVD set, Harry Potter blu-ray DVD set and Twilight Zone blu-ray DVD set from a business in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 22, according to police. 

Jacquelin Valentine Lohr, 22, of the 1600 block of Ridge Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with retail theft after she allegedly stole alcohol from a grocery store in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue at 3:48 p.m. Sunday, July 22, police reported. 

Maurice Earl Thomas, 46, of Evanston, was arrested and charged with retail theft in the 1200 block of Chicago Avenue at 6:13 a.m. Monday, July 23, according to police.

Theft Under $500

Someone stole a city of Evanston recycling bin from an alley in the 2100 block of McDaniel Avenue at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, police reported. 

Someone stole a brown leather men’s wallet and its contents that was left unattended in a park in the 1800 block of Clark Street between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 23, according to police.
