Blotter: Graffiti, Stolen Credit Card and Wallets

Criminal Damage to Property

Damage to the front door of a business in the 1900 block of Dempster St. was reported to police at 8:15 a.m. July 29. The offender is described as a black male, who is 6 feet tall and weighs 195 pounds.

Police found graffiti at a park in the 100 block of Ashland Ave. at 4:30 p.m. July 30.  The offender(s) is unknown at this time. 

Damage to a bedroom wall was reported to police at a single-family residence in the 1900 block of Emerson St. at 8:19 a.m. July 30.  The offender is described as black male. No other identifying information was provided by police.

Armed Robbery

A wallet along with its contents was stolen from a individual in the 300 block of Chicago Ave. at 1:30 a.m. July 31. The offender, described as a black male with no other identifying information, reportedly demanded the victim's wallet and threatened him with an undisclosed object. 

Burglary from a Motor Vehicle

A Chase debit/credit card was stolen fro an unlocked 2007 Dodge parked in a gas/auto service station located in the 100 block of Ridge Ave. at 3 p.m. July 25. No description of the offender was provided to police. 

A purse along with its contents was stolen from an unlocked 2002 Chevrolet in the 1400 block of Fowler Ave. at 2:15 p.m. July 30. The offender is described as a black male. No other identifying information was provided by police. 

Theft Under $500

A wallet, along with its contents was taken from a victim in a 2000 Chervrolet parked at a gas/auto service station located in the 100 block of Ridge Ave. at 3:48 a.m. July 30. The offenders are described as a black male and female, both standing 5 feet 8 inches tall. 

United State's Currency was stolen from a purse in a victim's apartment located in the 300 block of Custer Ave. at 11:45 p.m. July 30. The offender is described as a black male. No other identifying information was provided by police.
