Blotter: Home Invasion on Central Street

Home Invasion

Two men entered a home in the 3200 block of Central Street through the back door around 1:35 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, and stole a set of Honda Prelude car keys, according to police.

Corey Lanell Howard, 21, of Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of alcohol in a public way around 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, in the 1800 block of Lyons Street, according to police. 

Possession of Cannabis

Antonio Deondre Scott, 21, of Chicago, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, July 12, in the 500 block of McCormick Boulevard, police reported. 

Violation of an Order of Protection

Samuel F. Miller, 74, of Evanston, was arrested and charged with violating an order of protection in the 2200 block of Lake Street around 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, police reported. 

Stolen Jewelry

Someone stole rhinestone jewelry, a silver bracelet with a charm, a silver ring and house keys from an apartment in the 900 block of Oakton Street sometime before Wednesday, July 11, police reported. 

Stolen Plexiglass

Two men in a 2001 Suzuki stole a 4-by-3-foot piece of plexiglass from the alley by the side of a garage in the 1100 block of Florence Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12, according to police. 

Stolen Cell Phone

A man stole an HTC cell phone from a home in the 1800 block of Lyons Street around 1:10 a.m. Friday, July 13, police reported. 

Stolen Change

Two men stole loose change from an unlocked 2009 Acura parked in the 2200 block of Wesley Avenue around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, police reported.

Criminal Damage to Property

Someone damaged the window of a condominium in the 1400 block of Howard Street between 6:45 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. Thursday, July 12, police reported. 

Graffitied Garage

Someone scrawled graffiti on the garage of a home in the 1700 block of Brown Avenue around 11 a.m. Thursday, July 12, according to police.
