Man Allegedly Struck Victim at Bar

Kevin Patrick Phillips, 34, of the 4500 block of North Paulina in Chicago, was arrested and charged with battery Saturday, Aug. 11, after he allegedly struck someone in the face at a bar in the 1700 block of Maple Avenue at 11:06 p.m. Sunday, July 29, police reported.

A man punched someone in the head at the intersection of Church Street and Florence Avenue at 11:03 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, according to police. 

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

John Owen Lipari, 22, of the 200 block of Blackthorn Drive in Buffalo Grove, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 2:42 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, at the intersection of Elgin Street and Emerson Road, police reported. 

Burglaries on Lincoln and Maple

Someone slashed the window screen of a home in the 1400 block of Lincoln Street between 3:45 and 4:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, in what appears to be a burglary, according to police. It is not yet known what, if anything, is missing. 

A man damaged the front door of a condominium in the 2100 block of Maple Avenue at 5:06 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, police reported. It is not yet known what, if anything, is missing. 

Robber Steals Diamonds From Apartment

Someone stole several diamonds worth more than $500 from an apartment in the 1500 block of Maple Avneue between 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, and 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, according to police. 

Thief Swipes Purse From Church

Someone stole a yellow and blue leather purse from a table in a church in the 900 block of Chicago Avenue between 6:30 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, according to police.   

iPhone Stolen From Chicago Avenue Business

A man and woman stole an iPhone from a business in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue between 8:27 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, and 8:05 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, police reported. 

Cash, Shorts and Keys Stolen on Sheridan Road

A man stole cash, a J. Crew wallet, Gap khaki shorts and three keys on a key ring that were left unattended in a park building in the 1800 block of Sheridan Road around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, according to police. 

Stolen Bicycles on Dodge, Judson, Washington

Someone stole a black and yellow BMX bicycle by slashing the screen of an apartment storage locker in the 700 block of Dodge Avenue at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, according to police.

Someone stole a Schwinn bicycle with a white basket on the front from an unlocked garage in the 600 block of Judson Avenue between 12:06 and 2:54 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, police reported.

Someone stole a Trek women’s bicycle worth more than $500 that was locked up in the 900 block of Washington Street at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, according to police.

Someone stole a pink 20”girls Next bicycle and a pink 16” girls Schwinn bicycle that were locked up in the common area of a condo or apartment building in the 800 block of Custer Avenue between 10:15 and 11:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, police reported.

Someone stole a gray men’s mountain bicycle with bike rack that was locked in the parking lot of an apartment building in the 1500 block of Oak Avenue between 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, and 8:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, according to police.

Burglary From a Motor Vehicle

Someone stole cash, a Garmin GPS, canvas backpack and passport from an unlocked car parked in the 1100 block of Oak Avenue between 10:30 and 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, according to police. 

Man Charged With Stealing Alcohol

Stephan Lavegne Brandon, 39, of the 900 block of Sherman Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with retail theft after he allegedly stole alcohol or liquor from the Jewel-Osco on Chicago Avenue at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, police reported. 

Arrests For Disobedience to Police, Public Consumption of Alcohol

Jacqueline Banks, 41, of the 1800 block of Grey Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with disobeying police in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue at 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, police reported. 

Travis Jermaine Johnson, 28, of the 1700 block of Grey Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with public consumption of alcohol in the 1800 block of Brown Avenue at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, according to police. 

Anthony Antione Martin, 34, of the 3300 block of North Lemoyne in Chicago, was arrested and charged with public consumption of alcohol at Church Street and Hartrey Avenue at 4:33 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, police reported. 

Krisstoff Dame Smith, 24, of the 1600 block of Darrow in Evanston, was arrested and charged with public consumption of alcohol at Church Street and Hartrey Avenue at 4:33 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, according to police. 

Deangelo Jerrell Tillman, 32, of the 600 block of Gray Court in Wheeling, was arrested and charged with public consumption of alcohol in the 1800 block of Brown Avenue at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, police reported. 

Consumption of Alcohol By a Minor

Janek Evans, 18, of the 1000 block of Ashland Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue at 2:55 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, police reported.

Criminal Damage to a Vehicle

Someone damaged the front windshield and the driver’s side window of a 1998 Plymouth that was parked in the 2400 block of Main Street between 7 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, according to police. 

Someone damaged the rear tail light cover of a 2012 Chevrolet that was parked in the lot of a business in the 300 block of Dodge Avenue between 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, police reported. 

Criminal Damage to Property

Someone damaged a flowerpot in a yard in the 2400 block of Payne Street between 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, and 5 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 12. 

Graffiti on Sherman Avenue

Graffiti appeared on a business in the 1000 block of Sherman Avenue between 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, and 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, according to police. 

Graffiti appeared in the common area of an apartment or condo building in the 1900 block of Greenwood Street between 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, and 4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, police reported.
