Man Threatens Victim With Bat

Johnny Walker David, 51, of the 5500 block of Aberdeen in Chicago, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and battery after he allegedly threatened a victim with a bat in the 800 block of Clark Street at 2:52 p.m. Friday, July 20, according to police.

Strongarm Robbery on Main Street

A man and a woman pushed their victim to the ground and stole a Samsung slide-out keyboard cell phone in a strongarm robbery at 8 p.m. Friday, July 20, in a park in the 2400 block of Main Street, police reported.

Brittanie M. Ari, 21, of the 2500 block of Prairie Avenue, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence in the 1000 block of Greenleaf Street at 9:38 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, according to police. 

Two Men Punch Victim Repeatedly

Two men punched their victim several times at 10:20 p.m. Friday, July 20, at a restaurant in the 1800 block of Church Street, police reported. 

Shots Fired/Man With a Gun

Police investigated a report that a man fired shots in the 600 block of Sherman Avenue at 11:33 p.m. Saturday, July 21. Nothing was found in the area. 

Police also investigated a report that a man fired shots in the 1600 block of Greenleaf Street at 1:27 a.m. Saturday, July 21. Nothing was found in the area.

Police investigated a third report that a man had fired shots in the 700 block of Dobson Street at 1:36 a.m. Sunday, July 22. Nothing was found. 

Violation of an Order of Protection

Kalief Levante Steiner, 41, of the 1900 block of Ridge Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with violating an order of protection at 1:47 a.m. Saturday, July 21, according to police.

Burglaries on Brummel, Emerson streets

Someone stole a black gas pressure washer from an unlocked garage in the 2000 block of Brummel Street between 4 p.m. Sunday, July 15, and 4 p.m. Sunday, July 22, according to police. 

Someone apparently pried open the basement door and stole copper metal from a home in the 1800 block of Emerson Street at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, July 22, police reported.

Attempted Auto Thefts on Dobson

Police report that the steering columns of a 2002 Nissan and a 1999 Chevrolet were damaged in two attempted auto burglaries between 3:15 and 3:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21, in the 2100 block of Dobson Street. 

Theft Over $500

Someone stole a large barbecue grill and four metal chairs from a yard in the 100 block of Grey Avenue between 10 p.m. Friday, July 20, and 9 a.m. Saturday, July 21, according to police.

Someone stole a green and black Black and Decker lawn mower and garden equipment from the yard of a home in the 1500 block of South Boulevard between 1 and 2 p.m. Friday, July 20, police reported. 

A man stole Nintendo electronics from a department store in the 2200 block of Howard Street at 8:26 p.m. Friday, July 20, according to police. 

Someone stole a red snow plow from a junkyard in the 2500 block of Oakton Street at 1:57 p.m. Saturday, July 21, police reported. 

Someone stole a silver MacBook laptop computer from a church in the 2400 block of Howard Street at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, July 22, according to police.

A man stole a diamond ring, silver Tiffany earrings, silver Tiffany necklace engraved with the name “Sabrina” and a pair of diamond stud earrings from the bedroom closet of an apartment in the 1800 block of Wesley Avenue between 12 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, and 6 p.m. Friday, July 20, police reported. 

Stolen Bicycles on Michigan, Thayer

Someone stole a black women’s Trek 16” bicycle from an unlocked garage in the 1000 block of Michigan Avenue between 7 p.m. and 11:54 p.m. Friday, July 20, police reported. 

Someone stole a green Raleigh bicycle, a black and pink Myka bicycle and a black, white and red Hot Rock bicycle from an unlocked garage in the 2300 block of Thayer Street between 3 p.m. Friday, July 20, and 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21, police reported.

Someone stole a blue and white Lexa bicycle that was locked to a bike rack at Sherman Avenue and Elgin Road between 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. Saturday, July 21, according to police. 

Someone stole a black and silver bicycle from the 400 block of Sherman Avenue between 12 p.m. Friday, July 13, and 4:20 p.m. Friday, July 20, police reported.

Stolen Catalytic Converter

Someone stole a catalytic converter from a 2001 Jeep parked in the 500 block of Sheridan Square between 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, and 12:45 p.m. Saturday, July 21, police reported. 

Theft Under $500

Someone stole a maroon wallet that contained IDs and a debit card from a locked locker at an athletic club in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 4 and 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 19, police reported. 

A woman stole a CTA/PACE senior transit pass from a man’s pocket in the 1900 block of Asbury Avenue at 2 a.m. Saturday, July 21, according to police. 

A man snatched a black Android cell phone from another person in a park in the 100 block of Elmwood Avenue around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, July 22, police reported. 

Burglary From a Motor Vehicle

A man stole a Garmin GPS unit from an unlocked 2012 GMC parked in the 1600 block of Church Street at 9:41 p.m. Friday, July 20, according to police.

Ismael Enriguez, 21, of the 1900 block of Howard Street, was arrested and charged with burglary from a motor vehicle in the 2100 block of Dobson Street at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21, police reported. 

Possession of Cannabis

Anthony Sayles, 30, of the 1900 block of Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis in the 1000 block of Pitner Avenue at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21, police reported.

Antonio Deandre Scott, 21, of the 7600 block of Sheridan Road, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 7:54 p.m. Saturday, July 2, in the 1500 block of Emerson Street, according to police. 

Criminal Damage to Property

Someone damaged four glass panels on the door of a home in the 500 block of Dodge Avenue between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 22, according to police. 

Someone damaged the window of a home in the 1700 block of Grey Avenue between 6 p.m. Saturday, July 21, and 6 p.m. Sunday, July 22, police reported.

Criminal Damage to a Vehicle

Someone scratched the driver’s side door of a 2002 Dodge parked in the 900 block of Dodson Street between 11 p.m. Thursday, July 19, and 7 a.m. Friday, July 20, police reported. 

Someone damaged a 1998 BMW parked in an unlocked garage in the 1200 block of Oak Avenue between 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19, and 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 20, according to police. 

A man flattened all four tires of a 2005 Lexus parked in a lot in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue between 1 and 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 20, police reported.

Someone poured grease over the trunk and rear bumper of a 1999 Toyota parked in a lot in the 2200 block of Central Street between 1 and 3 p.m. Friday, July 20, according to police.
