Stolen Bicycles On Lake Shore, Davis, Orrington

Someone stole a Sillgey Men’s bicycle from the 1100 block of Lake Shore Boulevard around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, according to police.

Someone stole a blue men’s Magna mountain bicycle from an unlocked office building in the 800 block of Davis Street between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, police reported.

Someone stole a men’s mountain bicycle that was left unlocked on the sidewalk in the 1700 block of Orrington Avenue between 4 and 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7. 

Burglary From a Motor Vehicle

Someone stole a Mac computer and cash from an unlocked 2003 Subaru parked in an alley in the 800 block of Chicago Avenue between 4:31 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, and 4:36 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, police reported. 

Retail Theft

Veronica Laguna-Orihuela, 39, of the 1400 block of Howard Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with retail theft after she allegedly stole food from a grocery store in the 1900 block of Dempster Street at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, according to police. 

DVDs Stolen from the Library

A man stole John Wayne DVDs from the Evanston Public Library between 4 and 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, according to police.

Criminal Damage to a Vehicle

Someone dented and scratched the left side of the trunk of a 2004 Nissan parked in an alley in the 1400 block of Grey Avenue between 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, and 5:18 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, police reported.
