Man Allegedly Hit Victim, Took Cell Phone
Corey Montel Steele, 34, of the 4800 block of West Mulford in Skokie, was arrested and charged with battery after he allegedly hit someone in the chest, then took the person’s T-Mobile cell phone between 2:15 and 2:24 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, in the 2000 block of Emerson Street, according to police.
Two Arrested After Allegedly Punching Victim in Face

Sharnell S. Sayles, 41, and Raphael L. Turner, 38, both of the 1400 block of Grey Avenue, were arrested and charged with battery after they allegedly punched someone in the face in the 1400 block of Grey Avenue at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, police repoted. .

Someone stole a blue wallet with a picture of the Cookie Monster on it and a cell phone from the waiting room of a hospital in the 2600 block of Ridge Avenue sometime between 10:50 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, and 5 a.m Thursday, Aug. 9, according to police.
Bike Stolen on Lemar Avenue
A man stole a Magna bike with black and silver stickers that was locked up in a yard in the 1800 block of Lemar Avenue between 10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, and 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, according to police.
Stereo Faceplate Stolen on Oak Avenue
Someone stole a black Sony stereo faceplate in the 1300 block of Oak Avenue, according to police.
License Plate Stolen on Austin Street
Someone stole a license plate from a 2001 Hyundai parked in the 1000 block of Austin Street between 4 and 4:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, according to police.
Criminal Damage to a Vehicle
Someone damaged the passenger side door lock of a 2001 Dodge parked in the 1800 block of Simpson Street between 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, and 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, police reported.
Trespassing On Sherman Avenue
Prentice F. Philips, 47, of the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass in the 2200 block of Sherman Avenue at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, police reported.
Graffiti Found on Brummel Street
Police found graffiti in the common area of an apartment or condo building in the 1400 block of Brummel Street at 3:23 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9.
