Aggravated Assault on McDaniel Aveue

Sem Adrien, 25, of the 1700 block of McDaniel Avenue, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault at 11 p.m. Saturday, July 14, according to police. Adrien allegedly pointed a weapon at someone in a parking lot in the 1800 block of Dodge Avenue, police reported.

A man grabbed his victim’s arms at Crain Street and Maple Avenue around midnight Thursday, July 5, police reported. 

A man pushed his victim’s head into a wall at 5:45 p.m. Friday, July 13, according to police.

Shots Fired On Howard Street

Police investigated a report that a man had fired a gun at 10:53 p.m. Friday, July 13, in the 2000 block of Emerson Street. Nothing was found. 

Police investigated a report that a man had fired a gun at 10:15 p.m. Saturday, July 14, in the 1400 block of Chruch Street, according to police. Nothing was found.

Police investigated a report that a man had fired a gun at 10:25 p.m. Saturday, July 14, in the 2000 block of Brown avenue according to police. Nothing was found.

Police investigated a report that a man had fired a gun at 1:41 a.m. Sunday, July 15, in the 1900 block of Howard Street. Nothing was found.

Unlawful Use of a Weapon

Eduardo Alonso Cruz, 28, of Evanston, was arrested and charged with unlawful use of a weapon in the 3400 block of Smith Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Friday, July 14, according to police. 

Endangering the Life & Health of a Child

Regina Latrina Cowley, 42, of Crain Street, was arrested and charged with endangering the life and health of a child at 4:52 p.m. Thursday, Jul 12, according to police.

Stolen Lawn-Mowing Equipment

Someone stole a lawn mower, weed-whacker and bush trimmer from an unlocked garage in the 500 block of Sheridan Road between 10:41 a.m. Saturday, July 14, and 11:30 pm. Sunday, July 15, police reported.

Wedding Ring Swiped off a Counter

Three men stole a wedding ring off the counter of a home in the 1000 block of Dempster Street between 9 p.m. Thursday, July 12, and noon Friday, July 13, according to police.

Burglaries on Lee Street, Ashland Avenue

Someone attempted to remove the basement window from a home in the 2400 block of Lee Street between 9 and 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, police reported.

Someone stole an Olympus silver camera from a school in the 2500 block of Ashland Avenue between 4 p.m. Thursday, July 12, and 1:50 p.m. Sunday, July 15, according to police.

Someone damaged the front glass door of a business in the 1100 block of Howard Street between 6 p.m. Saturday, July 14, and 5 a.m. Sunday, July 15, according to police. 

Purse Left Behind, Then Stolen on the CTA

Someone left a paisley print purse on the CTA near the exit around 5 p.m. Friday, July 13, where it was later stolen, according to police. 

Cash, GPS Stolen in Car Burglaries

A man stole cash from an unlocked 2005 Mazda parked at Lee Street and Ridge Avenue around 10 p.m. Saturday, July 14, according to police. 

Someone damaged the driver’s side window of a 1998 Plymouth parked in the 5500 block of Callan Avenue and stole a black Tom Tom GPS 730 from the car between 1:27 p.m. Thursday, July 12 and 7 p.m. Saturday, July 14, police reported. 

Possession of Cannabis

Luis Daniel Gomez, 25, of Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis in the 3400 block of Simpson Street around 8:30 a.m. Friday, July 13, according to police.

Cell Phone Lifted at Lunch

A man stole a black Apple iPhone from the table in a restaurant in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue around 1:10 p.m. Saturday, July 14, according to police.

Retail Theft

Two women stole an HTC Boost prepaid phone from a business in the 2300 block of Howard Street around 5:48 p.m. Sunday, July 14, police reported. 

A man stole Belvedere alcohol from a grocery store in the 2400 block of Howard Street around 9:45 a.m. Friday, July 13, according to police.

A woman stole food from a drug store in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue around 12:18 a.m. Friday, July 12, according to police.

Vincent Earl Johnson, 43, of Evanston, was arrested and charged with retail theft in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue, police reported.

A man stole medicine from a drug store in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue around 2:54 a.m. Friday, July 14, police reported

Stolen Bicycles

Someone stole a green and black Quest bicycle and a gray and blue Canon mountain bike that were locked up in a yard in the 400 block of Dodge Avenue 4:40 p.m. Thursday, July 12, and 1 a.m. Friday, July 13, according to police. 

Someone stole an unlocked Schwinn freestyle bicycle with pegs and a women’s Schwinn mountain bike from a yard in the 2100 block of Brummel Street between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday, July 13, police reported.  

Someone stole a forest green Cannondale bicycle that was left unlocked in a yard in the 1400 block of Madison Street around 4:15 p.m. Sunday, July 15, according to police. 

Someone stole a wheel and tire parts from a bicycle locked up in the 1500 block of Oak Avenue between 2 pm. Friday, July 13, and 3:45 p.m. Saturday, July 14, according to police.

Vehicle Damaged on Dewey Avenue

A man damaged the hood of a car in the 2100 block of Dewey Avenue around 11:40 p.m. Friday, July 13, according to police.

Copper Downspout Stolen on Forest Avenue

Someone stole a copper downspout from behind the garage of a home in the 1200 block of Forest Avenue between 10 p.m. Friday, July 13, and 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14, police reported 

Criminal Damage to Property

Ian Edward Hansen, 18, of Evanston, was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property around 10:40 p.m. Thursday, July 12, in the 1100 blcok of Hartrey Avenue, according to police.

Possession of Stolen Property

Eduardo Santana, 35, of Skokie, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property in the 1900 block of Dodge Avneue around 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, according to police. 

Graffiti

Police found graffiti on garages in the 700 block of Custer Avenue, the 600 block of Forest Avenue and the 100 block of Burnham Place as well as on a building in the 1200 block of Lake Shore Boulevard.
