Broken Arm with a Bat, Gun Flashed

The following incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:
Aggravated Battery
A victim's arm was broken with a bat in a park in the 2200 block of Foster Ave. on Sept. 18 at 11:05 a.m. The offender is described as a male.

Burglary From a Motor Vehicle
An Apple phone with a cracked case was stolen from a 2007 Freightliner truck in an alley in the 600 block of Howard St. on Sept. 18 at 9:25 a.m. The offender is described as a black male standing five foot ten inches tall.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle
A 2008 GMC was damaged as it was parked on the street in the 2100 block of Cleveland St. sometime between Sept. 14 at 6 a.m. and Sept. 17 at 4 p.m. Scratches were noticed by the owner on the rear passenger door, and police describe the offender as a black female, standing five foot five inches tall and weighing 165 pounds.
A 2001 Nissan was damaged as it was parked on the street in the 1400 block of Brummel St. sometime between Sept. 16 at 9 p.m. and Sept. 17 at 6 a.m. The door was scratched and the tire was punctured.

Theft Under $500
A blue purse, and its contents, were taken from a shopping cart in the parking lot of a businesss in the 2400 block of Howard St. on Sept. 18 at 9:30 p.m. The owner listed the purse's contents as a Sprint phone and $50 in U.S. currency. The offender is described as female.
A unknown 22-speed bicycle and the headlight and taillight of another bicycle were stolen from a bike/storage rack in the 1700 block of Benson Ave. on Sept. 17 sometime between 6:25 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. The bike was reportedly locked at the time of the incident.
A Centurion black bike was stolen from a bike/storage rack in the 1700 block of Benson Ave. sometime between Sept. 17 at 11 p.m. and Sept. 18 at 3 pm.
Criminal Damage of State Property
Graffiti was observed by police on a transit mailbox at Lake and Hinman on Sept. 18 at 12:10 p.m.
Shots Fired/Man With a Gun
An unknown offender flashed a gun at a victim on a public sidewalk at Dodge and Dempster St. on Sept. 18 at 1:10 p.m. The offender is described as male.
