The fire that swept through a building at Davis and Oak Sunday morning did enough damage that the building will need to be demolishedEvanston Now is reporting.

The fire was first reported at Pine Yard Restaurant, at 1033 Davis St., at 2:24 a.m., according to the city. It spread to neighboring TechniColour Nail & Day Spa and Taco Diablo Restaurant, destroying all three establishments.

The collapse of the building's roof renders it unsafeEvanston Now reports. Firefighters were only inside for 10-15 minutes before deeming it too risky to stay inside because of the fire had spread to the roof.

Wow. I hadn't heard. So sad for the owners and employees, to say nothing of the patrons who went there. I'll miss Diablo's margaritas.

This is the 2nd time Pine Yard had a fire. When they were located on Church St, they had a fire which totally destroyed that building also. About 20 years ago. Bummer what bad luck.
