Burglar Breaks Window, Steals Clothing on Main

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Burglar Breaks Window, Steals Clothing on Main
A man broke the front window of a chain business in the 2400 block of Main Street and stole clothing between 1:37 and 1:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, according to police.

Arrests: DUI, Possession of a Controlled Substance
Francisco J. Garcia, 50, of the 700 block of Park Avenue in Beloit, was arrested and charged with retail theft after he stole alcohol from a grocery store in the 1900 block of Dempster Street at 6:22 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, according to police.

Kim Horton, 55, of the 600 block of Wesley Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 7:37 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, police reported.

Charles Richard Kurzawski, 25, of the 1500 block of North State Street in Chicago, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 2:36 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, in the 2700 block of Eastwood Avenue, according to police. 

A 35-year-old Evanston woman was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 4:09 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, according to police.

A 26-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 10:25 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, police reported. 

Car Burglaries Reported on Orrington, Hull
Someone stole tools from a 2007 Chevrolet parked at Orrington and Emerson between 12 and 12:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, according to police.

Someone stole a baby bag and its contents from an unlocked 1998 Buick parked at Hull Terrace and Custer Avenue at 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, according to police.

Graffiti Found on Clyde, Sherman
Graffiti appeared in a park at Clyde and Brummel at 3:05 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, according to police.

Graffiti appeared on a mailbox in the 500 block of Sherman Avenue at 3:09 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, police reported.
