Burglar Steals Air Conditioner, Power Drill

The following information was reported by the Evanston Police Department on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013. Where arrests are included, it does not include a conviction.

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Burglar Steals Air Conditioner, Power Drill

Someone entered a home in the 2400 block of Wade Street through an unlocked window and stole a dehumidifier, portable air conditioner, DeWalt power drill, DeWalt saw, tool belt, tools and two orange buckets between 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, and 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, according to police.

Arrests: Battery, Disorderly Conduct

Dominis Phillip Stevens, 29, of the 2100 block of Greenwood in Evanston, was arrested and charged with battery at 9:49 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, in the 1800 block of Hartrey, according to police.

Deshe La Reese Taylor, 22, of the 1500 block of Darrow in Evanston, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct at 10:49 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, in the 1600 block of Simpson Street, police reported.

Bike Stolen On Lake Shore

Someone stole a men’s Trek bicycle with a 17.5-inch frame from an unlocked garage in the 1200 block of Lake Shore Boulevard between July 14 and 20, police reported.

Thief Steals Sandals, Purse

Someone stole Clark leather sandals and a Michael Kross leather purse from a home in the 2500 block of Harrison Street between 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, and 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, according to police. The resident believes the items were stolen by a cleaning service.

Tires Slashed On South

Someone slashed the tires of a 2010 Nissan parked in the 1100 block of South Boulevard at 1:48 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, according to police.

Window Broken On Emerson

Someone broke the window of a home in the 2000 block of Emerson Street at 2:22 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, police reported.

Graffiti Found On Maple, Sherman, Green Bay

Graffiti appeared at Maple Avenue and Greenwood Street between midnight Sunday, Aug. 11, and 8:41 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, police reported.

Graffiti appeared on a business in the 1200 block of Sherman Avenue between midnight Sunday, Aug. 11 and 8:40 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, according to police.

Graffiti appeared on a business in the 2100 block of Green Bay Road at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, according to police.
