Burglar Steals Cash From Central Street Business

The following arrests and incidents were reported by Evanston Police:

Burglar Steals Cash From Central Street Business
Someone stole cash from a business in the 2800 block of Central Street between 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, and 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, according to police. There were no signs of forced entry, police said.

Arrests: Retail Theft, Criminal Damage
Destiny De Jesus, 17, of the 1500 block of West Walton in Chicago, was arrested and charged with retail theft at 7:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, in the 1900 block of Dempster Street, according to police. 

Benjamin D. Fish, 26, of the 600 block of North Marion in Oak Park, was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property after he broke the window of 27 Live, 1012 Church St., at 11:38 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, according to police. 

A 28-year old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 6:36 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, police reported.

Joseph L. Jones III, 53, of the 600 block of Lake Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass at 3:47 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, in the 1300 block of Orrington Avenue, police reported.

A 27-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 4:35 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, according to police.

A 20-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 2:05 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, according to police.

Deanna F. Poneman, 25, of the 300 block of West Hubbard Street in Chicago, was arrested and charged with retail theft after she stole from a grocery store in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue at 3:03 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, according to police.

A 38-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 3:14 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, according to police. 

Burglars Hit Monroe, Dewey, Noyes, Colfax
Someone stole a Sanyo television from an apartment in the 1800 block of Monroe between 7:25 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, according to police.

Someone stole a Philips LED flat-screen TV and trench coat from a home in the 700 block of Dewey Avenue between 6:20 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, police reported.

Someone stole two Fuji bicycles from an unlocked garage in the 2500 block of Noyes Street between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, according to police. 

Someone stole red and gray Milwaukee tools with the initials "MJT" on the drill, a Makita grinder with the initials MJT, a black and orange toolbox and commercial vacuum from an unlocked garage in the 2000 block of Colfax Street between 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, and 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, according to police. 

Car Burglaries on Sherman, Ridge
Someone stole a connection cable for radio and iPod adapter from a 2012 Volkswagen parked in the 600 block of Sherman Avenue between 8:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, and 7:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, according to police. There were no signs of forced entry, police said.

Someone broke the window of a 2007 Jeep parked in the 1500 block of Ridge Avenue and stole a GPS unit between 8:30 a.m. and 12:41 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, according to police.

Someone stole an Apple iPod and USB cable from a 2013 Subaru parked in the 1100 block of Sherman Avenue between 11 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, and 9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, according to police. There were no signs of forced entry, police said. 

Theft: Jewelry, Medical Supplies, Cell Phone
Someone stole jewelry from the 3100 block of Simpson Street between Nov. 1 and Dec. 13, police reported.

Someone left Evanston Hospital with a box of medical equipment between 6:25 and 6:54 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, according to police.

Someone stole an Apple cell phone in a black case that was left unattended at a restaurant in the 1700 block of Maple Avenue between 7 and 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, according to police.

Couple Steals Hair Extensions on Howard
A man and woman stole a bundle of Brazilian Bombshell 22-inch hair extensions from a business in the 700 block of Howard Street at 12:56 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, according to police. 

Criminal Damage to Property
A man scratched a 2013 Nissan parked in the 2200 block of Howard Street between 8 and 8:35 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, according to police. 

Graffiti Appears on Maple
Graffiti appeared on a restaurant in the 1700 block of Maple Avenue between 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, and 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, according to police.
