Burglary Reported at Foster Street Restaurant

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Burglar Steals Coffee Grinder, Laptop From Restaurant

Someone broke into a restaurant in the 900 block of Foster Street and stole a Toshiba laptop computer, Mazzer Luigi coffee grinder and spiral notebook with bookkeeping entries between 10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, and 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, police reported.

Burglar Steals Playstation, Games On Case

A man stole a black Sony PS3 Playstation gaming console, PS3 video games and Sony PS3 video controllers from a home in the 700 block of Case Street between 9 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, according to police.

Car Burglar Steals Bongos, Shakers

Someone entered an unlocked 2001 Jeep parked in an alley in the 700 block of Dodge Avenue between 4 and 9:25 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, and stole several musical instruments and other electronics, according to police. The following items were reported missing: a TomTom GPS, camelback folder with music notes, Apple iPhones, personal business cards, backpack with contents, bongo drums in a black case, a large musical instrument with the emblem of the Puerto Rican flag, shakers made of dried calabash or gourd shell filled with seeds or beans and a guiro, which is an instrument made from a serrated gourd and played by scraping a stick along its surface. 

Car Burglar Steals Laptop

Somone stole an Apple laptop in a black cloth case from an unlocked 2006 GMC parked in the 1900 block of Brown Avenue between 11:05 and 11:11 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, police reported.

Thieves Steal Wallets From Office Building, Apartment

A man entered an office building in the 1800 block of Sheridan Road through the unlocked rear door and stole a red Orla Kiley wallet with blue accents between 11:50 a.m. and 12:01 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, according to police. 

Someone stole a snakeskin-patterned wallet from an apartment in the 1900 block of Sheridan Road between 8 and 11:59 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, police reported.

Arrests: Retail Theft, Possession of Cannabis

Hunter MacDonald Adams, 48, of the 1000 block of Grove Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with retail theft at 3:05 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue, according to police.

Jesus Rodriguez, 24, of the 100 block of Main Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 9:27 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, in the 1300 block of Oak Avenue, police reported.

Bruce E. Wells, 49, of the 5600 block of North Ridge Avenue in Chicago, was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property at 10:06 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, in the 1100 block of Dewey Avenue, according to police.

Graffiti Found On Hinman

Graffiti appeared on the street in the 1100 block of Hinman around 4:16 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, police reported.
