Burglar Steals Coin Collection

Man Charged With Aggravated Assault

Eric Dale Moore, 33, of the 1700 block of Grey Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault at his home at 9:04 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, police reported.

Burglar Steals Franklin Mint Coin Collection

Someone broke the door of a home in the 1700 block of Cleveland Street between 7:30 a.m. and 9:57 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, and stole an Apple laptop computer, gold ball earrings, cash and Franklin Mint silver coins, according to police.

Burglar Steals Purse From Garage

Someone stole a quilted Vera Bradley purse with its contents from a 2007 Toyota that was parked in an unlocked garage in the 1000 block of Wesley Avenue between 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, according to police.

Car Burglar Steals Cash on Chicago

Someone broke the window of a 2000 Nissan parked in the 900 block of Chicago Avenue between 9 a.m. and 2:24 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, and stole cash, according to police. 

Thief Steals Iron, Boombox From Eatery

A known offender stole a Sunbeam iron and a boom box from a bag that was left unattended in a chain restaurant in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue at 1:27 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, police reported. 

Man Charged With Retail Theft

Brendan J. Biggane, 41, of the 6400 block of North Keating in Lincolnwood, was arrested and charged with retail theft in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue at 6:04 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, according to police.
