Burglar Steals Laptop, Cash On Oak

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Arrests: Possession of a Controlled Substance, Disobeying Police
A 35-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, police reported.

Carmichael Odain Nation, 23, of the 2000 block of Grey Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with disobeying police in the 700 block of Hinman Avenue at 9:50 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, police reported.

Jonathan Joseph Warde, 20, of the 200 block of Millbrook Lane in Wilmette, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 10:02 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, in the 100 block of Custer Avenue, according to police. 

Burglar Steals Laptop, Cash On Oak
Someone damaged the door frame of an apartment in the 1300 block of Oak Avenue and stole a laptop computer, three $50 bills and loose change between 10:25 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, police reported. 

Batteries Reported On Main, Dodge, Florence
Someone reported a battery by a woman in the 800 block of Main Street between 2:23 and 3:41 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, according to police.

A known male offender bumped his victim at the high school in the 1600 block of Dodge Avenue at 8:29 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, according to police.

A man and woman pushed their victim and spat in the victim's face in the 1700 block of Dodge Avenue at 4:42 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, according to police. 

Tires Slashed On Florence
A known offender slashed the tires of a 2000 Dodge in the 1400 block of Florence Street between 2 and 7:51 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, police reported. 

Man Swipes Cell Phone From Counter
A man stole a black Verizon Samsung cell phone from the sales counter at a business in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, police reported. 

Car Burglary Reported on Callan
Someone entered a 1993 Toyota parked in the 400 block of Callan Avenue between 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, according to police. Nothing was reported missing. 

Woman Steals Food From Grocery Store
A woman stole food from a grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue at 4:05 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, according to police. 

Graffiti Appears on Convenience Store
Graffiti appeared on a convenience store in the 700 block of Howard Street around 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, according to police.
