Burglar Steals Laptops On Emerson Street

Someone damaged the rear door of a business in the 1600 block of Emerson Street and stole cash and two Dell laptop computers between 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, and 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, according to police.

Arrests: Domestic Battery, Possession of Cannabis

A 26-yea-rold Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, police reported.

Gaye K. Carter, 54, of Evanston, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass at the Evanston Public Library at 1703 Orrington Ave., at 6:43 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, according to police.

Sierrio J. Larry, 24, of the 10000 block of Holly Lane in Des Plaines, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, in the 1400 block of Brown Avenue, according to police. 

Laptop Stolen From Car On Main Street

Someone entered an unlocked 2007 Chrysler that was parked in an alley in the 1400 block of Main Street and stole a Lenox Laptop computer between 6:30 and 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, according to police.

Retail Theft: Designer Sunglasses

A man stole six pairs of designer sunglasses from a store in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue between 12:15 and 12:21 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, police reported.
