Burglar Steals Michael Kors Watch, Laptop on Asbury
The following information was reported by Evanston Police on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013. Where arrests are included, it does not indicate a conviction.
The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:
Burglar Steals Michael Kors Watch, Laptop
Someone entered the unlocked window of an apartment in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue and stole a laptop computer, cash, a Michael Kors gold-faced watch with a blue silicone band, a woman’s watch with a gold band and a gold men’s ring with a marquise diamond between 2 and 2:50 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17.

Break-in Reported On Brummel
A man entered an apartment in the 1300 block of Brummel Street through an unlocked window between 10:30 a.m. and 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, according to police. Nothing was reported missing.

iPad Stolen in Car Burglary On Ridge
Someone entered a 2003 GMC parked in the 2600 block of Ridge Avenue and stole a DVD/navigation stereo system and Apple iPad between 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, and 7 am. Tuesday, Sept. 17.
Someone broke the window of a 2004 Ford Explorer but stole nothing in the 1200 block of Dobson Street between 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, and 7 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, according to police.
Arrests: Criminal Trespass, Assault, Etc.
Valgas Dovalsas Etheard, 20, of the 7500 block of North Winchester Avenue in Chicago, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass to a residence in the 400 block of Elmwood Avenue at 2:33 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, police reported.
Tovel Ben Judah, 43, of the 2300 block of Noyes Court in Evanston, was arrested and charged with assault on his street at 4:35 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, according to police.
A 44-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 4:40 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, police reported.
Bike Stolen On Church
Someone stole a blue and yellow men’s mountain bicycle that was left unsecured in the 900 block of Church Street between 3:15 and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, police reported.
Thief Takes Linens, Sewing Machine From Storage Locker
Someone stole Tupperware bins containing bed linens, a purple suitcase filled with clothing and a white sewing machine from an apartment storage locker in the 800 block of Mulford Street between 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, and 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, according to police.
Cane Stolen From Hospital
Someone stole a black wooden cane from St. Francis Hospital between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, police reported.
Jewelry Taken From Apartment
Someone stole yellow metal jewelry with clear jewels from an apartment in the 2300 block of Noyes Court between 12 and 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, according to police.
Wallets Stolen At the Grocery Store
Someone stole a dark purple leather wallet from a grocery store in the 1200 block of Chicago Avenue between 3 and 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, according to police. The owner said it may have been taken from a counter.
Someone stole a wallet with its contents from a purse at a grocery store in the 2700 block of Green Bay Road between 2:30 and 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, police reported.
Retail Theft: Samsung Cell Phone
Someone stole an 8GB Samsung cell phone from a department store in the 2200 block of Howard Street around 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, police reported.
