Burglar Steals Motor Boat, Scrap Metal

Burglar Steals Motor Boat, Scrap Metal
Someone entered a garage in the 2100 block of Jackson Avenue and stole a 15-foot Boston Whaler motor boat with a 75 horsepower motor and trailer and an unknown amount of scrap aluminum, according to police.
Burglar Breaks Window, Steals Vacuum and Tools
Someone broke the window of a business in the 900 block of Pitner Avenue between 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, and 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, according to police. The burglar stole an 18-volt DeWalt cordless drill, Bosch tools, a vacuum system and Dell precision work station, police reported.
Car Burglaries Reported On Grove, Dempster, Darrow, Callan
Someone broke the window of a 2012 Volkswagen and stole a purse while it was parked in a business lot in the 1000 block of Grove Street between 8:40 and 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, police reported.
Someone broke the window of a 2013 Mazda parked in a business lot in the 2000 block of Dempster Street between 9:05 and 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, according to police. The burglar stole a black and purple purse with pink flowers on it, police reported.
Someone entered an unlocked 1996 Honda parked in the 1600 block of Darrow Avenue and stole a checkbook between 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, and 12:01 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, police reported.
Someone entered an unlocked 2003 Kia parked in the 300 block of Callan Avenue between 10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, and 8:20 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, according to police.
Business Windows Broken on Greenleaf
Someone broke two windows of a business in the 2000 block of Greenleaf Street between 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, according to police.
Gang Graffiti Found on Darrow
Police found gang graffiti on a garage in the 1000 block of Darrow Avenue between midnight and 7 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, according to police.
