Burglar Steals Pearl Necklace on Hartzell

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Arrests: DUI, Possession of Cannabis

Matthew Ryan Denesha, 26, of the 900 block of Deerfield Road in Deerfield, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 3:24 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, in the 2700 block of Green Bay Road, police reported.

Tyrone Elijah Gibbs, 20, of the 2100 block of Emerson Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis in the 1900 block of Foster Street at 6:50 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, according to police.

Armed Robbery On Chicago

A man demanded a cell phone and wallet from his victim during an armed robbery in the parking lot of a business in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue at 9:27 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, police reported. 

Pearl Necklace Stolen on Hartzell

A burglar stole a pearl necklace, gold necklace, triangular gold earrings and Chase checkbook from a home in the 2500 block of Hartzell between 8 and 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, according to police. Police do not know how the burglar gained entry.

Cash Register, Purse Stolen From Business

Someone stole a cell phone, credit card, cash box, cash register and cash register key from a business in the 900 block of Chicago Avenue between 11:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, according to police. 

Someone stole a Banana Republic purse and its contents from the checkout counter of a business in the 900 block of Chicago Avenue between 11:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, according to police.

Thieves Steal North Face Jacket

A man and two women stole a black North Face Denali jacket with pink lining from a business in the 900 block of Church Street at 7:21 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, police reported. 

Cell Phones Stolen From Display

Someone stole a red Samsung cell phone and a blue Samsung cell phone from the display counter of a business in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue between 12 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, police reported. 

Wallet Stolen From Behind Restaurant Bar

Someone stole a quilted red vinyl wallet and its contents from behind the bar of a restaurant in the 800 block of Grove Street at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, according to police.
