Burglars Break Window, Steal North Face Jackets

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Burglars Break Window, Steal North Face Jackets
A man broke the window of a business in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue and stole 14 North Face women's winter jackets at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, according to police.

Burglaries Reported on Sheridan
Someone attempted to pry open the door of an apartment in the 600 block of Sheridan Road between 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, and 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, according to police. 

Someone also entered another apartment in the 600 block of Sheridan Road between 12 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, and 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, according to police. It is unknown what is missing.

Chicago Man Charged With Forgery
Andre Tongue, 29, of the 6400 block of North Greenview in Chicago, was arrested and charged with forgery at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at the station, according to police. 

Briefcase Swiped From Car Lot
Someone stole a nylon briefcase with its contents from a car lot in the 1000 block of Chicago Avenue between 5:30 and 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, according to police.

Wallet, iPhone Stolen at ETHS
Someone stole a wallet and iPhone from a locker at a school in the 1600 block of Dodge Avenue between 2:30 and 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, according to police. 

Cabdriver Won't Hand Over Change
A cabdriver refused go give a woman her change on Elmwood Avenue at 1:14 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, according to police. 

Criminal Damage to Property
Someone broke the window of a 2012 Kia parked in the 900 block of Dodge Avenue between 8 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, and 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, according to police.
