Burglars Steal Cash on Ridgeway

Two men stole cash from an unlocked home in the 2500 block of Ridgeway Avenue between 3:29 and 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, according to police.

Bike Stolen On Brummel

Someone stole a men’s Schwinn bicycle that was left unlocked in the 1400 block of Brummel Street between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, police reported.

Wallet Taken From Backpack

Someone stole a wallet with its contents from a backpack in the 800 block of Forest Avenue between 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, and 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, according to police

Man Charged With Stealing Alcohol

Christopher William Larsen, 25, of the 2500 block of West Fitch in Chicago, was arrested and charged with retail theft after he allegedly stole alcohol from a business in the 2400 block of Howard Street at 2:06 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, according to police.

Thief Tries To Cut Sensor Off Sweatshirt

A man tried to cut the sensor of a sweatshirt at a business in the 900 block of Church Street at 3:58 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, according to police.

Mailbox Damaged On Sherman

Someone damaged a mailbox in the 2100 block of Sherman Avenue between Oct. 12 and 14, police reported. 

Criminal Damage to Vehicles

Someone painted the rear license plate of a 2012 Nissan parked in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue between 5 and 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, according to police.

Someone damaged the front windshield and two passenger side windows of a 1995 Land Rover parked in the 900 block of Grey Avenue between 8:55 and 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, police reported.
