Car Burglar Takes DVD Player
Someone damaged the driver’s side rear window and stole a portable DVD player from a 2005 Toyota parked in the 900 block of Forest Avenue between 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, and 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, according to police.

Thief Steals Gold Necklace
A man stole a gold necklace made of violet leaves from a home in the 1200 block of Forest Avenue between Oct. 1, 2012, and Jan. 8, 2013, police reported.

Man Steals CDs On Howard
A man stole compact disks from a business in the 2300 block of Howard Street at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, police reported.
Arrests: Criminal Damage to a Vehicle
Paul Leon Aristide, 59, of the 900 block of Grey Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with criminal damage to a vehicle at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, according to police.
