Chicago Man Charged With Car Burglary

The following information was reported by Evanston Police on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013. Where arrests are included, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Chicago Man Charged With Car Burglary

Aureliuse P. Griffin, 18, of the 2700 block of West Fletcher Street in Chicago, was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary to a vehicle at 2:38 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, in the 1600 block of Seward Street, according to police.

Burglary From Motor Vehicle

Someone broke the window of a 2006 Nissan parked in a driveway in the 1400 block of Brummel Street between 5:21 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, and 10:54 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Bikes Stolen On Kedzie

Someone stole a white and orange Trek men’s off-road hybrid bicycle and a silver women’s Schwinn bicycle that were locked up in the 300 block of Kedzie Street between 6:50 a.m. and 12 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, according to police.

Wallet Stolen; Credit Card Used

Someone stole a wallet that was left unlocked in a locker room in the 1700 block of Benson Avenue between 12:15 and 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, according to police. The credit card was used in a store.

Mail Stolen On Cleveland, Ridge, Foster

Someone stole mail from a yard in the 1300 block of Cleveland Street between 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, and 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, according to police.

Someone stole a package containing Grand Theft Auto video games from an apartment in the 1700 block of Ridge Avenue between 12 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, and 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, according to police.

Someone stole two envelopes from a mailbox in the 700 block of Foster Street between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, police reported.

Car Keyed On Michigan

Someone keyed a 2002 Kia parked in the 700 block of Michigan between 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, and 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, police reported.

Graffiti Appears On Howard

Graffiti appeared on an alley in the 900 block of Howard Street between 10:05 and 10:13 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, according to police.
