Do Drivers Blow Stop Signs In Your Neighborhood?

Do you regularly see drivers fail to put on the brakes at an intersection in your neighborhood? Tell us where in the comments.

Updated July 12:

Evanston Police Cmdr. Jason Parrott wrote Patch in to say that EPD has issued 24 tickets at the corner of Cowper Avenue and Colfax Street for stop sign violations since June 6.

"
We want people to know our traffic bureau is always out at different locations complaints are made about where enforcement is then conducted," he wrote.

Original story:

Do you see drivers blowing stop signs in your neighborhood regularly?

Patch reader Liz Feigen Swanson posted on our Facebook page, saying she see cars driving right through the stop sign on her block, at Cowper Avenue and Colfax Street.

"On ANY GIVEN DAY, you will see 8 out of 10 cars NOT stop at this 4 way stop. Not even slow down," Swanson wrote. "This is a 4 way stop and I pray everyday nobody I love gets hurt."

Patch took a trip out to the intersection, and while many cars did come to a full stop, there were several that rolled right through. We caught a couple on videotape.

Do you have this problem in your neighborhood? Is there an intersection that's notoriously bad? Tell us in the comments.
