ETHS: Sexual Assault 'Was Not a Random Act'
The high school released a statement Thursday that includes additional information on the recent sexual assault arrest in a stairway.
Evanston Township High School is offering a bit more information on this week's sexual assault arrest by releasing a statement on its website.
"Although the district cannot provide specific information regarding the students involved or any ongoing police investigation, we can confirm that the incident in the stairwell was not a random act," the statement reads. "Prior to the incident, the two students involved were in the hallway together before they went to the stairwell."

"The school district will continue to cooperate fully with the Evanston Police during its investigation and will take any appropriate disciplinary action as warranted by district policies."
