Evanston, Skokie Police Team Up in Crack Bust

The bust resulted in one arrest.

Members of the Evanston Police Department Neighborhood Enforcement Team and Skokie Police Departments’ Canine Unit arrested a man Friday for allegedly possessing 16 individually wrapped crack rocks and two digital scales.

The departments worked together to execute a search warrant at 2026 Green Bay Road in Evanston. The EPD said the officers on the scene forced their way inside the building and searched the residence, where they uncovered the drugs and scales.

"Furthering this investigation," police said, "detectives contacted the Cook County State Attorneys Office, who was then [told] of all the pertinent acts in this case. After so being informed two felony drug related charges were approved against Tatum O. Logan."

Logan, 22, was charged with the following:

  • One felony count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver
  • One felony count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance

A court date has been set for Nov. 9 at 9 a.m. in Skokie.
