Evanston Cops Seize 170 Grams of Coke in Rogers Park Drug Bust

Evanston Police detectives seized 170 grams of cocaine during a special ops bust in Chicago’s Far North Rogers Park neighborhood on Wednesday.

Daniel Palomares, 32 of the 7400 block of North Oakley Avenue in Chicago, was charged with various narcotics offenses, including unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, both felonies.

According to a police news advisory, Evanston Police detectives from the special operations group executed a search warrant at Palomaries’ Oakley Avenue residence for narcotics.

Police were able to recover 170 grams of cocaine, along with $2,000 in cash.

Palomares appeared in bond court on Thursday, where bail was set at $90,000, in addition to home electronic monitoring if bond is posted.

He has a court appearance on March 5 at the Skokie Courthouse.
