Evanston Firefighers Want Your Vote
Online contest continues for favorite station among the city's five
The November elections are now a memory and the municipal elections are a few months from now, but if there is a person who needs to get out and vote on something right now, think big red trucks and blaring sirens.
The Evanston Fire Department is conducting its inaugural, “What’s Your Favorite Firehouse.” Residents can go to www.engageevanston.org to make their selections of which of the city’s five stations are their personal favorite.
All of the houses had pictures taken recently by city staff to give personalize their homes away from homes. Station Two went so far as to have a picture of a Christmas tree wrapped in plastic with yellow caution tape normally seen at the site of an investigation.
