Evanston Hair Salon Robber Used BB Gun, Officials Say

Jason Logsdon, 41, told police that he robbed more than a dozen hair salons to feed his crack habit. He is charged with five counts of armed robbery, according to the 'Sun-Times.'

Evanston resident Jason Logsdon was indicted this week on five counts of armed robbery at the Cook County Circuit Court in Skokie, in connection with a series of hair salon robberies spanning two counties, the Sun-Times reports.

Police say Logsdon, 41, of the 900 block of Chicago Avenue, robbed 15 hair salons in eight different municipalities, including Skokie, Niles and Morton Grove. 

According to the Sun-Times, Logsdon used a BB gun to rob the salons, and typically made off with anywhere between $100 to $800 from each robbery. He also told authorities that he committed the robberies to feed his crack habit.

Logsdon is next scheduled to appear in court on March 8.
