Evanston Man Arrested on Cocaine, Pot Charges
Police say they found 12 grams of cocaine and 2.5 grabs of cannabis, as well as cash when they searched his Dodge Avenue home.
A 38-year-old Evanston man is facing multiple drug charges after police said they caught him Wednesday with 12 grams of suspected cocaine, 2.5 grams of cannabis, nearly $10,000 in cash, a scale and plastic baggies after executing a search warrant at his home.
Dion W. Smith, of the 1000 block of Dodge Avenue, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of cannabis, according to an Evanston Police Department press release.
He is next due in court April 21.
