Evanston Man Charged with Armed Robbery

The following arrest information was supplied by the Des Plaines Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two young men were charged with armed robbery following an incident on Forest Avenue last week, announced on Wednesday. According to the report, at about 4 p.m. on April 6, Julian Hutchinson, 18, of Evanston, and a juvenile from Skokie met a young man from Des Plaines in the 1300 block of Forest Avenue to complete a narcotics transaction arranged earlier in the day.

The Des Plaines man got into their vehicle, and, after a short while, Hutchinson displayed a handgun and, according to the report, pointed it at the Des Plaines man. Hutchinson demanded the victim turn over everything in his pockets. The man handed over a wallet, cash, flash drive and cell phone. He then got out of the vehicle, and Hutchinson and the Skokie juvenile fled the scene.
