Evanston Man Charged With Criminal Sexual Abuse

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Evanston Man Charged With Criminal Sexual Abuse
Sherman Seville Salter, 18, of the 700 block of Reba Place, was arrested and charged with criminal sexual abuse at 10:18 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, in the 700 block of Red Oak, according to police.

Burglar Pries Open Storage Locker
Someone pried the lock off an apartment storage locker in the 2600 block of Bennett Avenue between Jan. 7 and 21, police reported. The burglar stole a men's Schwinn mountain bike and women's Giant hybrid bike.

Car Burglaries Reported on Lake, Central
Someone stole a drivers license from a 2004 Oldsmobile parked at Lake Street and Elmwood Avenue between 2:37 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, and 5 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, according to police.

Someone broke the window of a 2010 Jeep parked in the 1900 block of Central Street and stole backpack between 5 and 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, according to police.

Graffiti Appears on Garage on Darrow
Graffiti appeared on a garage in the 1100 block of Darrow Avenue between 10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, and 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, according to police.
