Evanston Man Charged With Dealing Heroin

Evanston police arrested a 53-year-old Evanston man after they executed a search warrant at his home and found heroin and packaging materials for selling heroin.

Police charged a 53-year-old Evanston man with dealing heroin after they executed a search warrant at his home and found heroin and packing materials, according to a press release from the police department.

Officers searched Vernon Davis’ home in the 1900 block of Hartrey Avenue around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, police said. They found a small amount of the drug, packaging materials and drug paraphernalia, according to police.

Davis is charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, both felonies. Police say he was also wanted on a Cook County warrant for violating probation. He is set to appear in Cook County Circuit Court in Skokie at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13.
