Evanston Man Charged With Sexual Assault

The following information was reported by Evanston Police on Friday, June 28, 2013. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Arrests: Sexual Assault, Cannabis

Richard Oliver Thompson, 45, of the 600 block of Oakton Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at his home, police reported.

Rodolf J. Bacette, 18, of the 2100 block of Cleveland Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 1:36 a.m. Thursday, June 27, in the 1200 block of South Boulevard, according to police. [Name Withheld], 18, of Evanston, was also arrested and charged with possession of cannabis during the same incident.

Michael Joseph Janvier, 23, of the 200 block of Brown Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with violating an alcohol ordinance at 10:46 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, according to police.

Car Burglaries On Kedzie, Sheridan

Someone stole a bag from an unlocked car parked in the 500 block of Kedzie Street between 2 and 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, according to police.

Someone stole a purse and its contents from a 2001 Nissan parked in the 1700 block of Sheridan Road between 10:15 and 11:15 a.m. Thursday, June 27, police reported.

Theft Steals From Gym Locker

A thief entered an unsecured gym locker in the 1000 block of Grove Street at 3:40 p.m. Monday, June 24, according to police.

Retail Theft On Sherman

A man stole Tide detergent from a pharmacy in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue at 2:49 p.m. Thursday, June 27, police reported.
