Evanston Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting a Child
Jaime Rodriguez, 49, of the 2100 block of Darrow in Evanston, was arrested and charged with criminal sexual assault of a child at his home at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, police reported.

Evanston Man Charged With Obstructing Justice
Odain D. Richards, 19, of the 700 block of Dobson in Evanston, was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice at 5:59 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, in the 400 block of Custer, according to police.

Gunfire Reported On Custer
Someone reported hearing gunshots in the 100 block of Custer Street at 7:03 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, according to police. Nothing was found in the area.
Bike Stolen On Hovland
Someone stole a blue and yellow girls bicycle that was locked up in the 1800 block of Hovland Court between noon and 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, according to police.
Thief Steals Cash From Purse
Someone stole cash from a purse in the 1700 block of Chicago Avenue in Evanston between 10 and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, according to police.
Cell Phone, Cash, Stolen From Locker
Someone stole an Apple page plus cell phone and cash from an unlocked locker in the 1000 block of Grove Street between 4:10 and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, police reported.
Patio Gate Damaged On Dobson
Someone damaged the patio gate of an apartment or condo common area in the 800 block of Dobson Street between 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, and 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, police reported.
Graffiti Reported On Main, Custer
Graffiti appeared in the 2400 block of Main Street between midnight and 3:29 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, according to police.
Graffiti appeared in the 900 block of Custer Avenue at 10:46 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, police reported.
