Evanston Police Arrest Man Trying to Break Into Apartment

A 46-year-old Evanston resident was charged with attempted residential burglary, police say.

Evanston police arrested a man trying to break into an apartment in the 800 block of Dempster Street around 12:25 a.m. Monday, according to a press release.

Bobbie A. Clark, 46, of the 1800 block of Lake St., Evanston, was charged with one count of attempted residential burglary, a Class 2 felony, after police found him on a rear stairwell trying to enter through a window to a second-floor apartment, where an individual was asleep inside, police say.

Clark is schedule to appear in court on June 20.
