Evanston Police Arrest Suspected Dealer in Drug Bust

Evanston police searched a Rogers Park residence as part of their investigation of illegal drug sales in Evanston, according to police.

Evanston police arrested a Chicago man after they found "crack" cocaine, cannabis and two loaded handguns during a search of his apartment Friday.

With help from the Chicago Police Department, Evanston police searched the Rogers Park residence as part of their investigation of illegal drug sales in Evanston, according to police.

Christopher G. Collins, 25, of the 6900 block of North Sheridan Road in Chicago, is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of weapons by a felon, all felony counts. He is also charged with possession of a firearm or ammunition without a valid firearm owner's identification card and unlawful possession of cannabis, both misdemeanors, according to police.
