Evanston Police Charge Skokie Man With Selling Drugs

As part of their investigation of illegal drug sales in Evanston and Skokie, police executed a search warrant on a Skokie home and arrested a 22-year-old man after they found 65 grams of cannabis.

Evanston police charged a Skokie man with dealing marijuana illegally after they searched his home and found 65 grams of cannabis Monday morning. 

Police executed the search warrant at 6:50 a.m. Nov. 26, in the 4800 block of West Greenleaf Avenue, as part of their investigation of illegal drug sales in Evanston and Skokie, according to a press release from the Evanston police department.

Following the search, police arrested Donte D. Kennedy, 22, of the 4800 block of West Greenleaf Avenue, and charged him with unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, both felonies, according to the release.  Kennedy is scheduled to appear in Cook County Circuit Court in Skokie at 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13.
