97-Year-Old Man's Home Robbed, Police Investigating

Police said the invasion on Old Glenview Rd. occurred Thursday night.

Evanston Police detectives are investigating a home invasion that reportedly occurred in the 3600 block of Old Glenview Road sometime Thursday between 7:30 and 9 p.m.

According to the report, a 97-year-old man told his relative (who in turn told police) that a female offender had knocked on the door, entered the home and pushed the man into a wall. The relative also reported discovering that one of the home’s bedrooms had been ransacked and that several pieces of jewelry had been stolen.

A language barrier prevented the man from communicating with police without the assistance of his relative.
