Evanston Police Officers Promoted, Honored for Work During Blizzard

Officer Kevin Campbell, Detective Jody Wright and Detective Melissa Sacluti were promoted Monday to the rank of Sergeant.

Evanston Police Officer Kevin Campbell, Detective Jody Wright and Detective Melissa Sacluti were all promoted to the rank of sergeant Monday and honored with pins for their work during .

"On Feb. 1 and 2, a number of officers made an incredible effort just to be here to help their fellow officers and the community," said Evanston Police Department Chief Richard Eddington. "And when you see this blue pin on their dress uniforms in the future, you'll know that they're one of the people that you can count on when we really need it."

Eddington said the move to sergeant is the biggest step the officers will take in their careers at the department, and noted that the rank is a complex one.
