Evanston Student Injured in Fatal MN Crash Improving

William Sparks, an ETHS alum, was one of two college students injured in a crash that killed three classmates.

The 20-year-old Evanston college student injured in a Friday crash that killed three of his classmates is improving, according to an Associated Press article.

William Sparks is listed in satisfactory condition in a Minnesota hospital, the article states. Another student is in critical condition.

Sparks was driving an SUV on an icy road when it spun out and was hit by an oncoming semi Friday afternoon. Three of his Carleton College classmates were killed. Police said neither alcohol nor excessive speed were a factor.
