Evanston Woman, 81, Crashes Car Into Wilmette Store
Police issued multiple traffic citations to an 81-year-old Evanston woman who crashed her car into a Wilmette liquor store last week, according to Wilmette Life.
An 81-year-old Evanston woman was cited for multiple traffic violations after she hit another car, a small tree and a liquor store at 277 Green Bay Road in Wilmette last week, Wilmette Life reports.
The woman had reversed to back her car away from a train-crossing gate, but forgot it was in reverse and accelerated backwards once the train had passed, according to Wilmette Life.
