Gunfire Reported at Dewey and Crain

Police investigated a report that someone had fired a gun at 8:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at the intersection of Crain Street and Dewey Avenue, according to police. Nothing was found in the area.

Arrests: Criminal Trespass to a Vehicle, Identity Theft

Lorenzo Ruiz Jones, 18, of the 1400 block of Brummel Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle at 11:39 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, in the 3000 block of Howard Street, according to police.

Nicole C. Wells, 41, of the 2200 block of East 84th Street in Chicago, was arrested and charged with identity theft at 5:46 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, police reported. 

Burglaries Hit Garages On Fowler, Emerson, Grey

Someone stole a Reach handsaw, Skil tile cutter, a toolbox with miscellaneous tools and a red and black Toro snow blower from an unlocked garage in the 1200 block of Fowler Avenue between 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, and 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, according to police. 

Someone driving a 1999 Geo stole a Sanyo flat-screen TV, Sony DVD player, DVDs, Craftsman tools in a toolbox, a shovel, hedge trimmer, DeWalt tools, Craftsman hand tools, a battery charger, Craftsman air compressor and 19-inch chrome rims from a garage in the 2200 block of Emerson Street between 3 and 6 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, police reported. 

A man driving a 2003 Chevrolet pried open the garage door of a home in the 1900 block of Grey Avenue and stole a Stihl gas trimmer, DeWalt pressure washer and a lawn mower between 5:20 and 8:35 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, police reported. 

Car Burglar Steals Wallet On Main Street

Someone stole a black wallet with its contents from a 2005 Acura that was parked in a municipal lot in the 1700 block of Main Street between 6:30 and 8:20 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, police reported. 

iPhones Swiped From Athletic Club, School

Someone stole an iPhone 4s that was left unattended at an athletic club in the 1000 block of Grove Street between 5:30 and 6:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, police reported. 

Copper Downspouts Stolen From Church

Someone stole two 15-foot copper downspouts from a church in the 800 block of Ridge Avenue between 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, and 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, according to police.

Vandal Attempts to Break Car Mirror

Someone tried to break the mirror of a 2000 Subaru in the 400 block of Barton Avenue between 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, and 9:35 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, police reported.
